The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

A detailed patent drawing exhibits the design of a lamp base created by T. A. Edison, with the patent date of October 14, 1890, marked at the top. The drawing includes three figures: a side view of the lightbulb and base, a top-down view of the base, and a section view showing the internal elements of the base, each meticulously labeled with numbers to indicate parts of the design. Signatures of the inventor and the witnesses are present at the bottom, lending authenticity to the document.
